CUC North West Celebrates 2025 Graduates at Narrabri Ceremony
07 Nov 2025
The Country Universities Centre (CUC) North West proudly celebrated the achievements of its 2025 graduates at a formal presentation evening held at The Exchange in Narrabri. The event brought together students, families, local leaders, and community partners to recognise the hard work and dedication of regional students pursuing higher education.
The ceremony featured graduates from diverse fields including law, psychology, counselling, midwifery, criminology, business, paramedicine, accounting, and zoology. Each graduate’s success reflects the growing opportunities for regional students to access quality education without leaving their communities.
Key Highlights:
- Attendance by Narrabri Shire Mayor Darrell Tiemens, General Manager Eloise Chaplain, and representatives from Whitehaven Coal, Santos, and Narrabri Shire Council.
- Graduates shared inspiring stories of balancing study with work and family commitments, made possible through CUC North West’s local learning facilities and academic support.
- The Centre continues to break down barriers such as cost, distance, and isolation, enabling students to remain connected to their region while achieving their goals.
CUC North West Chair Letitia Cross said:
“Every graduate strengthens our local workforce and community resilience. This celebration is a testament to what can be achieved when regional students are given the right support.”
The Centre has supported over 700 students from more than 35 Australian universities and tertiary providers since its inception. Its mission remains clear: to empower regional learners and create pathways for local careers.
